Imagination Celebration

The committee for Imagination Celebration plans and executes PALS' spring fundraiser, which is also the kickoff to the library's Summer Reading program. A theme for Summer Reading programs is decided by the library, and we follow that theme for IC.  Advance planning to coordinate entertainment, activities, demonstrations, crafts, etc.. is needed beginning in January. Additionally, solicitation of local businesses for donations of money and services is needed. The IC committee can be divided up as follows: volunteer chairperson, food chairperson, ticket chairperson, and a solicitation chairperson. The day of the event, we will also need volunteers at specific time periods to work.  It is a fun afternoon, a fun event to volunteer for and a great money raiser for PALS.  People with great imaginations will be vital to this event.

Specific needs include volunteers to:
  • Secure corporate sponsors and/or booth prizes
  • Assist in set up of booths the day of the event
  • Work 1 hour booth shifts
  • Assist in clean up the day of the event
  • Secure games/booths from local schools and/or churches
  • Coordinate the printing of pulicity materials
  • Coordinate food and drink donations and purchases
