Junior Board of VHLF Membership

Junior Board of VHLF membership is open to everyone, with new members welcomed each fall. Please contact us at jrboardvhlf@gmail.com if you are interested in joining the fun!

Member Commitments

Members are committed to attending meetings, assisting with library family programs, summer reading, serving on committees, and other events. Members are also financially committed to paying annual dues. 2017- 2018 annual dues are $50 and may be paid using the PayPal link below.

• Attend at least 2 out of 3 general membership meetings
  • Fall Kick-off and New Member Welcome 
  • Winter Meeting 
  • Spring Meeting 

 

• Volunteer to assist with Storybook 5K and Fun Run 
  • Participate in the Fundraising or Run Planning Committees
  • Distribution of flyers and posters to local businesses
  • Work packet pick-up
  • Set up and clean up on race day
  • Help with bouncy house, crafts, etc on race day

 

• Volunteer to assist with at least one library program
  • Family nights – held once a month from September – May
  • Filling summer reading bags with coupons and library materials
  • Summer reading kick-off and finale
  • Teen Chef program (summer)
